"The true teacher is not satisfied with second-rate work. He is not satisfied with directing his students to a standard lower than the highest which it is possible for them to attain."

Kristie Smith
Teacher K-4th Language Arts & Social Studies
My name is Kristie Smith. I am the homeroom teacher for grades K-4 and I teach K-8 Social Studies, K-4 Bible, and K-4 Language Arts. I count it a privilege to teach children about Jesus! I’m drawn to help children that struggle academically and I enjoy challenging students that are gifted. By teaching in small school I have the privilege to alter the curriculum to meet the academic needs of each child. With God’s help my goal is help every child succeed to their fullest potential.

Cindy Peterson
Music Teacher
My passion is helping young people learn to love Jesus more and become forever friends with Him. I want the children to have a fun and rewarding experience with music since it can be a powerful influence for good in their lives. Although my teaching career has mostly been with high school students, it gives me great joy to work with the staff and students at SAA.
